About - David Earle
Working from my small workshop i design, manufacture and install Bespoke Fitted Furniture and Fitted Wardrobes in St. John's, Newfoundland.
I work in and around the St. John's area (approx. 25 km Radius) and have many loyal customers.
Every image on this website is entirely my own work, completely handmade and truly bespoke.
Nothing is bought in or outsourced.
Its just me- I work alone and concentrate on one job at a time. As a result I often have a long waiting list so please bear this in mind when planning your project.
The Process
If you decide to get in touch, I will first try to gather as much information as possible so that i can give you a rough estimate on costings, and timeframe.
If you are then happy to proceed, I will arrange a visit to your home at a convenient time. Usually this will be a quick visit just to introduce myself and take some basic measurements, so that I can then go away and produce a design drawing and an accurate quotation for you to consider.
Hopefully if you are happy with both the design and cost, the next stage will be to get a fitting date booked in.
Just before building your furniture in my workshop (usually around 3 weeks before the fitting date), I will arrange a second site visit, to take some more detailed measurements and finalise any details like handle choices, colours etc.
I will then begin to order in the materials needed- depending on the size of the project I may ask for a deposit to cover the bulk of these costs.
Fitting is always done by myself and I will let you know how long I estimate it to take at the quotation stage. An average installation is 2-3 days but you can expect anything from a single day for a small wardrobe, up to a week or more for more complex builds like dressing rooms.
